Fire Extinguisher Training - During Fire Ban

  • Extinguisher Training without the Mess
  • No limits
  • Train Anywhere

Salamander Fire Australia Pty Ltd uses the HotShot system to provides training to food service workers on location at the Victoria Market in Melbourne, Australia.

TrainingSafety HotShot's digital flames allow you to train where live-fire training isn't possible. Because HotShot can be used indoors, fire extinguisher training can be conducted regardless of weather conditions.

Ease of Use HotShot can be set-up in less than 5 minutes and is highly portable, allowing for training in almost any location. In association with our friends at Salamander Fire Australia Pty Ltd we also offer the following services:

  • Industrial & commercial emergency procedures development and design
  • Evacuation exercises
  • Emergency Control Organisation structure design that is specific to your workplace
  • Staff awareness & warden training in emergency procedures
  • Use of portable extinguishers and first attack fire fighting training
  • Workcover approved first aid courses

A fire extinguisher in the hands of a trained individual is said to be 250% more effective.

Trevor Pillinger, Salamander Fire Australia says:

"I have just bought both the Intelligent Training System™ and HotShot™ from BullEx™ and am very impressed. Having spent 30 years in the fire services both permanent and volunteer, I now run a business as a Registered Training Organisation conducting fire and emergency and OH&S training.

TrainingThe systems are easy to set up, simple to operate yet comprehensive in what they provide. I can dial up various levels of difficulty and adjust the training to suit the client's needs. As an RTO, I am required to be able to have an assessment to show that the student has met measurable outcomes. The digital readout from the hand set provides a record of the times it takes to extinguish the fires and how efficient they are with their methods along with observation of their practical skills.

The systems now allow me to train in conditions that were previously difficult, if not (at times) impossible. Depending on the facility, training can now be conducted indoors in inclement weather, during total fire bans or when conditions make it uncomfortable. The ability to conduct “environmentally friendly” training, without the problems of disposal of waste, clouds of smoke or dry chemical powder means I have no problems running training in inner city environments.

I have used the equipment under such varying locations as factories, medical centres, nursing homes, heritage listed buildings, airport facilities through to the snow fields. Both systems have been reliable and only take a few minutes to set up. Our experienced engineers can custom design a training solution to meet your specific needs."
